Who is responsible

Flight Price Alerts is operated from British Columbia, Canada. For any privacy question or request, email hello@flightpricealerts.com.

What we collect

• If you sign up for alerts: your email address, the preferences you chose (airport, destination type, trip type, deal level and an optional price limit), the date and time you agreed, the IP address used when you signed up, and whether you confirmed or unsubscribed.
• When you click "See live price": we count the click with the route, the date and time and the price shown. We do not record who you are.
• Technical data: like every website, our hosting provider's server logs record things such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.

We do not ask you to create an account, and we never collect payment details or booking information. You book on a third-party site.

How we use it

• To send the alerts you asked for, and the confirmation email you need to click first.
• To answer your messages and keep the service secure.
• To see which routes people find useful, using the click counts above.

Email and your consent

We email you only after you have asked us to and confirmed your address. Every email names us, includes our mailing address and has an unsubscribe link that works immediately. After you unsubscribe we keep a minimal record (your email address and the dates of your consent and unsubscribe) so that we never email you again and can show that we followed the rules. We keep consent records for at least three years after you unsubscribe.

Cookies and third parties

Our pages do not use advertising or analytics cookies. We may load a script from our affiliate network, Travelpayouts, that helps credit bookings to us; it may set cookies or collect technical data such as your IP address and the pages you view. When you click through to Aviasales or to an airline or travel agency, those sites have their own cookies and privacy policies, and the affiliate network may track your visit so that a booking can be credited to us.

Who we share it with

We never sell your email address. We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site (our web host and the email service that sends our messages), with the travel companies you choose to visit, and when the law requires it. These providers may store data on servers in Canada or in other countries, including the United States, where local laws apply.

How long we keep it

Alert sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe, then reduced to the minimal record described above. Click counts are kept without any personal details. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@flightpricealerts.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).

Security

We use HTTPS and password-protected administration pages and limit who can see subscriber information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Flight Price Alerts is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and we will tell subscribers by email if the change is significant.
